When it comes to work, we live in a society that tends to cut corners and take the easy way out. As believers, work is a part of life that is necessary; and although the toil of it can be difficult at times, we are called to press on and work hard because it is God who enables us to be good stewards of our responsibilities. Likewise, we are called to work out our salvation since God works in us to do His will. We looked at Philippians Chapter 2 to remind us that the onus of persevering to become more like Jesus isn’t on us alone; God works it out in us by the power and working of His Spirit. We are called to be a light that shines in this generation, following the example that Jesus Christ set for us, and honouring our fellow brothers and sisters.
