It is good to desire the will of God, but it can become challenging when trying to accomplish it. In this sermon, we looked at Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:39-46; John 6:38 ESV). We saw what we should expect when fulfilling God’s will; sincere surrender, supernatural strength and stressful suffering. We find our motivation to do God’s will by looking at Jesus’ devotion to God; He is our primary example of how one ought to live for God and be rewarded for it.
