This past sermon, we heard about what it means to be favored by God (Luke 1:26-38 ESV). We learned that the favor of God often comes by surprise; it is an unexpected interruption. We learned that it may involve struggle to set us apart for a purpose. We also learned that it brings us support where we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit and are unified with those in the same journey. Finally, we learned that favor requires surrender, looking unto Jesus Christ who is the favored and beloved One of God.
