As Christians, Jesus Christ should be the only Lord of our lives. In this sermon, we looked at what it means for us to be God’s temple that has Christ enthroned above all (Luke 19:45-48; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17). We learned that when Christ is the Lord of our life, we experience intimacy with Him; through spiritual disciplines and life events, our hearts grow more in love with Him. We also learned that when Christ is our Lord, we live under His authority; through the written and spoken word of God, Jesus faithfully instructs us and guides us into His perfect plan. Finally, we learned that we can rely on His credibility; we can hang our life on His words because it accomplishes all that it is set out to do.
